About SAATHII and PPP PPTCT Program

Solidarity and Action Against the HIV Infection in India (SAATHII), a registered

non-profit organization, was founded

with a vision to stabilize and reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS in India

and ensure that people living with HIV/AIDS receive un-stigmatized,

affordable and quality care, support and treatment.

Headquartered in Chennai, it has branch offices at Kolkata and Hyderabad, and

field offices at Karur in TamilNadu, Bhubaneswar

in Orissa, Imphal in Manipur, Jaipur in Rajasthan and Nagpur

in Maharashtra.

SAATHII, in collaboration with the Maharashtra State AIDS Control Society

(MSACS), is implementing a public private partnership (PPP) to scale up PPTCT

services in private hospitals across six districts of Maharashtra. The project

seeks to reduce the current PPTCT coverage gap by providing comprehensive PPTCT

services to pregnant women seeking antenatal care in private sector health care

facilities.

1. Medical Manger

Position

Summary:

The position demands technical knowledge and skills on HIV/AIDS prevention and

treatment, and abilities to train and mentor private health care personnel on

prevention of parent to child transmission and related issues.

To be considered for this position, the applicant will be required to have: 

educational background of Medicine and preferably

Public Health and experience in implementing/managing HIV/AIDS programs

Excellent communication and training skills

Experience in handholding and mentoring

Proven experience in organizing trainings

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

Provide on-site clinical support to the doctors through support

visit and clinical mentorship program

Provide on-site support to program coordinators and

counseling mentors

Mentor program coordinators in conducting onsite sensitization program and

support visit

Develop and finalize the mentorship tools with the assistance of the

Area manager and Project lead

 

Undertake capacity building of Program Coordinators

during Experience Sharing Meetings and Supportive Monitoring Visits

Develop technical protocols for the participating

hospitals/overall project

Facilitate supply and usage of IEC material

Preparation of reports on medical components of the project with the

assistance of the MIS and M & E officer

Send periodic technical updates to the private hospital

Coordinate with the Mentoring consultants and

mentorship visits

2. Program Coordinator

Location: Thane, Maharashtra

Position summary:

The key responsibilities of the position is to help private hospitals plan and

implement PPTCT program in 3 districts and provide on-site mentorship to

counselors and lab technicians of these hospitals.

To be considered for this position, the applicant will be required to

have: Post graduate in Social work / Social Sciences with at least 2 -3 years of

experience in HIV/AIDS and  PPTCT program implementationStrong counseling and

mentorship skills Excellent

written and oral communications skills in English and Marathi/HindiWillingness

to travel extensively

Strong interpersonal skillsProficient n the use of computers Strong

analytical and documentation skills Resident of Thane or willing to relocate to

Thane

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

Assist

Area Manager in selection of sites for PPTCT program Conduct

sensitization workshops/meetings Provide

start up assistance sites in establishing PPTCT program Organize

trainings for the site level staffProvide

on-site mentoring to the PPTCT staff Undertake

district-wise mapping of other HIV/AIDS service providers, initiate

linkages/referral

systems and oversee the functioning of referral systemConduct

monthly monitoring of the sitesDevelop

monthly and quarterly quantitative and qualitative reports Participate

in district level review meetings

3. Finance and Administration Officer

Maharashtra 

Position summary:

The Finance and Administration Officer

will render financial and administrative support to the SAATHII Nagpur

office in coordination with SAATHII Hyderabad/Chennai office.

To be considered for this position, the applicant will be required to have: 

Graduate or Post Graduate in Commerce/Accounts with at least 3 years of

experience in financial management, preferably with exposure to non-profit

sector.Good written and oral communication in EnglishExcellent knowledge of

Tally Proficient computer skills, including use of Internet and MS Office

softwareFamiliar with and sensitive to issues impacting people living with

or affected by

HIV/AIDSAbility to work independently and as a team player in a complex,

multicultural environment

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

Oversight of accounts and administration relating to projects in

MaharashtraDay-to-day management of accountsPreparation and submission of

project MIS on monthly basisManaging petty cashPreparation of vouchersAssistance

in payroll processingUpdating and maintaining of administrative registers

Oversight of the office assistant Ensuring compliance with organization

procurement procedures
