My little 6 year old autistic boy who used to just throw tantrums by screaming

is now (for the

last 4 months) beating his head (temples) with his fists when he doesn't get

what he wants,

when he is hurting,

*Have seizures been ruled out?

when he just disagrees with you, when he doesn't understand.

*If he doesn't have speech are alternative forms of communication being tried,

offered, taught...like sign, PECS or communication device?

He is also

biting his wrist to where it has left a big callus and at one point bled. He has

40 hour-week

ABA therapy and the therapists try to prevent this, but it is escalating!

*Do they wear perfume or smoke or use other products which he may be able to

smell but you or they don't even notice? Does he have hypersensitivity? When

did his ABA increase to 40 hrs. Perhaps he's on overload...Is it more with one

of them than others? Does he do it at home or other places, too?

Does anyone have any ideas? I can't stand to watch this beautiful little boy

hurt himself,

leaving bruises all over his face

He is under the care of a great DAN doc but we just recently did a ton of tests

*Did these include a " challenge " test? Please don't allow these. They're

dangerous and not particularly useful.

and are waiting

for the results. If anyone has any ideas in the meantime, I would love some

input.

Is he on any supplements? Which ones? What's his diet like? Have you done a

DDI hair elements test and applied counting rules? Does he have ANY mercury

amalgam dental fillings? When were his most recent vaccines? Are you

chelating and if so what protocol, chelator(s), route, and dose? Please make

sure that you understand Andy's protocol and don't let the DAN! talk you into

any other.
