Guest guest Posted February 8, 2010 Report Share Posted February 8, 2010 Dear AIDS INDIA, According to the Malayalam News paper, Malayala Manorama an AIDS patient is in chain in Kerala for the the two years in Kottayam (Athirampuza) (Malayala Manorama newspaper dated Feb,5,2010) According to the news report a 32 year old HIV- affected man is locked inside a cage in the back side of a house in Athirampuza in Kottayam district in Kerala. One of his leg is fractured and is hanging loose, while the other leg is chained. And he is guarded by guard dogs . Food is thrown into the cage which is sustaining his life . The cage is surrounded by net supported by erected stones to avoid children to go there. Though there is a toilet inside the cage the place is filled with bad odur, If any visitors are going to see him he talks to them consciously .
