Dear Forum,

I want to raise an important issue about SLN structure and Services to Delhi

State PLHIVs

Capital of Delhi Current Situation of HIV/AIDS  are;

Total No Delhi Population are--1,50,000,000 (1 crore 50 lakh)

Total No Delhi Disstrict are-11

Total Surrounding Area of Delhi is--250KM

Total No Delhi PLHIV are--33000 (approximately)

Total No ART Clinic--9

Total No Pre ART PLHIV are---

Total No Post ART PLHIV are---7000

Total No ART Defaulter PLHIV are--

Total No DIC are---5

Total No CCC are---8

Total No Positive Network are--5

Total No DLN are---NIL

Total No TI's are--90 (approximately)

Total No SLN--1 DNP+

Total No SLN Staff are--15

Total No SLN Field Worker are--9

In Delhi a single PLHIV network of DNP+ affiliated with INP+ is working for

PLHIV's and there have only 15 people staff.

It is important to realize that services needed by the community can never be

met by this small network, the number of people affected by HIV are increasing

as we find many new detection at the ICTCs.

The services of counselling, psycho- social support, care and protection need to

be taken seriously. Hence,  strong need is there for another network along with

DNP + to support the community.

with thanks & regards,

Dear FORUM,

Re: /message/11529,

I really appreciate Pradeep's concern regarding the PLHIV, but the point is that

in Delhi, there are currently five Networks are working in various capacity.

Delhi has 9 districts, but according the geographical area of Delhi, it is very

small compare to other state, you can move one end to another within one-to-two

hour maximum.

As you know Love Life Society is a group of sexual minority living with HIV or

AIDS, we have set-up five zonal groups i.e. East, West, North, South and

Central.

We have also aware that many network is working in various part of Delhi. In any

point of time you need help of any information call on 9911799650.

Thanks and regards

Firoz Khan

General secretary

Love Life Society

Network of sexual minority living with HIV or AIDS
