Guest guest
> > We are considering giving the B12 injections so I am really interested in hearing people's stories about good OR bad effects from the injections. I used oral with great results. It did require folic acid and carnitine for proper absorption, and it did tend to increase yeast. But it was very helpful for my son for several issues. > My son started folinic acid 4 days ago and I think there is a mild improvement in his receptive language already and he is spontaneously laughing more frequently at silly/funny things throughout the day. My son was SEVERELY folic deficient and folic was wonderful for him. It also required carnitine for proper absorption. Be careful, excessive laughing, especially if there is no apparent cause of the laughter, usually means yeast overgrowth. Both folic and B12 tend to increase yeast. > Anyone have experience with giving folinic acid via injection? I gave both B12 and folic orally, not injection. Guest guest
mb12 injections have been one of my son's wonder supplements, big gains, a little hyper but that wore off, now we are doing every other night.I love them!Alison M --------- [ ] I've been giving my son B12 shots per the Neubrander > protocol > > Date: Wednesday, December 3, 2008, 3:57 PM > > > > > > > for about 3 months. Guest guest
I second that this is has been the biggest bang for my buck. Big gains........I am so glad I do them.....I heard that folinic or folic acid added to the shots make them painful. Heard that several times.....HTH! Guest guest
If you seen significant gains from MB12, then there is a good chance it is from the support role of methylation. You could then look into other options that support methylation, which can include indirect things like folic acid or folinic acid, which supports the folate cycle which in turn supports methylation. We have not used folinic or folic acid in shots, we just give it orally and it has been well tolerated. Methylation is often damaged by mercury. Guest guest
> my son is folic defiffcant to may i ask how much you give??and what brand? Most kids appear to need 800-1600mcg per day, so I would start with 800mcg and see how that goes. I used Henry's brand. Some kids need folinic. My son required carnitine for proper absorption of folic. Dana
