Guest guest
Hi all I know this question is rather technical and, OK, off topic. I mentioned that my chelating DS9 has a suspected kidney stone. The urologist has referred him for a Mag III test which, from my searching means they inject him or he drinks a substance called Mercapto Actyl Tri Glycine (then they view its transit throught the kidney). Now my son is not going to have this stuff put inside him him without me knowing what it is and whether is it contra-indicated for someone with mercury toxicity. Does anyone have any idea? (It also didn't sound like it was really necessary...) Many thanks. Alison W
Guest guest
Hi Alison, When my daughter was 3 she had a Mag III. This happened before she was formally assessed. If I knew then what I know now I would have asked many more questions. All I do know at this stage is that when we received our hair elements test back she tested in the 80% for thorium. It is a radioactive element. Our DAN had never seen this on a hair test before. She has seen many. It left me to wonder if it was not from the Mag. Seemed like a logical choice. I believe it is a carcinogen amongst other things. Simone [ ] Mag III renal test - OT Hi all I know this question is rather technical and, OK, off topic. Guest guest
Hi Simone Thanks very much for your reply. I'm sure we have all followed medical advice that we wondered about at the time but didn't question - then regretted later. From my Googling it seems it is a mercury chelator. We all know the risks of putting unsafe doses of mercury chelators into our kids. OMG. Alison W > > Hi Alison, > > When my daughter was 3 she had a Mag III.
