Guest guest
I would probably try the same thing, but I'm still nursing my almost 3 year old son as his older brother is recovering from the spectrum, so I'm a bit biased. Also, coconut oil has the same anti viral component as breast milk. Do you notice any problems with it? > Second idea (which is probably a bit strange) was to pump extra milk and mix it with something and give it to my asd son to boost his immune system. Guest guest
I wouldn't worry about your second idea. I can't see that it would hurt. I would suggest, however, that you raise every possibility to get those amalgams out! My hubby had his replaced when we discovered all of this, and we had a very helpful dentist who allowed him to pay little by little. You don't want your son getting that steady stream of mercury! Guest guest
I looked into getting them removed before I got pregnant again and it cost 20,000 and my dental insurance wouldn't cover much. I can't afford that since we are trying so hard to recover our son our money is going to that. Our DAN told us that is might do more harm then good if I don't chelate for a while after the removal so we just decided to wait until I'm done breastfeeding and then remove and replace them slowly as we get some money. @...: jromkema@...: Thu, 4 Dec 2008 09:20:12 -0600Subject: Re: [ ] What do you think of this idea? Guest guest
He has a water lasor and they said the insurance would reinburst, but my insurance hasn't payed anything for the x rays or the cleaning. I don't think I'd get any money back. He seemed to know what he was doing, but now I have to wait because I'm pregnant and then I will be nursing. @...: jromkema@...: Fri, 5 Dec 2008 13:06:25 -0600Subject: Re: [ ] What do you think of this idea? Guest guest
I went to a mercury free dentis and paid $10,000, but that was for 10 teeth, including 6 crowns. It depends on what you need. Fillings themself should be less than $300/tooth, crowns are much more money to go metal free. > > Gosh, I'd look for another dentist! Guest guest
I have 10, and I need a couple crowns and some overlays which I guess are expensive too. He said that they have been in my mouth so long that there is probably decay below the amalgam. He said that was the highest it could be. My insurance isn't helping at all, and I was hoping for that 50% help but since he isn't a covered dentist they don't have to really help. Sometimes I wonder what the point of insurance is - it really hasn't helped with teeth or with autism. We're forking pretty much everything out of our pockets. @...: caryn_reid@...: Fri, 5 Dec 2008 22:13:35 +0000Subject: [ ] Re: What do you think of this idea? Guest guest
Well there are a lot of mercury-free dentists out there, and some are out to make a buck. I'd ask on this list for more reasonable dentists in your area.
