Guest guest
I know it is the holiday, and you are all busy. But we just got our second hair test results in today (ordered at our DANs request) I am supposed to talk to him about the results on Friday, but he does not really know how to read and interpret these tests. My son is 30 lbs and 3 1/2 years old and he has had 11 rounds of chelation DMSA/ALA. We just went to a 3/4 schedule and lowered the chelators to 10 mg of DMSA per dose and 3mg of ALA per dose. I can't post the results until I am back in my office next week. But of concern to me, is that his copper, which pre chelation, 6 months ago, was very high, almost, but not quite in the red has gone even higher. We stopped giving high copper foods, we were giving lots of nuts and some chocolate. But now after ALA chelation the copper is totally in the red, despite dietary intervention, as high as it can go to the end of the page on the test results. I have molybdenum on hand, and know I need to start giving this a few times a day. But is it ok meanwhile to continue with ALA chelation? We are only at 3 mg per dose and our son tolerates it ok and has made a lot of gains. But is it dangerous to continue to chelate with ALA? We supplement with about 40 mg of zinc beyond the 15 mg he gets in his multi. (of course the zinc in hair as a result) Does this need to be increased as well? Also, I was noticing signs of adrenal fatigue. Six months ago his sodium and potassium were white into green, to the left of the 50th percentile, sodium was 26 ug/g and potassium was 27. Now sodium is 13 and potassium is 8! Do I need to start adrenal support asap? Should I start with the Adrenal Cortex Extract? Lithium and boron have taken nose dives as well, extremely low. Lithium went from .007 to .005ug/g. We are seeing higher levels of the toxic elements in the hair. Mercury and lead are still lower than the others, but show at higher levels than 6 months ago. Anyway, copper and adrenals are my most pressing concerns. I will post the results so that you can all help me with interpreting the rest of the results next week. I would appreciate any help you could give me with whether to chelate with ALA and with what to do about the copper, and adrenals. Thanks.
