Guest guest
Our Hair Elements test shows my daughter testing Thorium .007 reference range .005 about the 80 percentile. Does anyone have experience detoxing thorium from our kids. She is mercury toxic among many other things and we will be starting ALA after we get the copper down a bit. Will this do it for thorium? Thanx Simone
Guest guest
Interestingly, my son never showed any thorium until he had 40 rounds of dmsa/ala chelation, then we saw it show up in his hair tests. It seems he is dumping it and it must have been in deep stores somewhere. Since it was not there to begin with. He is metal toxic in just about everything. It seems likely that chelation on Andy's protocol will get rid of the thorium too if not by chelating it, but by allowing the body to dump it as it becomes less toxic. Or at least that is what is happening in our case. The hair test interpretation book says the following on thorium: If elevated thorium is seen on a hair test an effort should be made to identify and end exposure, and provide supportive treatments, unless it is one of the test with deranged mineral transport where lots of toxic and essential elements become vastly elevated. It is not clear if it is possible to chelate out thorium. Supportive treatment is liver support and antioxidant nutritional supplements.... so if the hair test met rules for mercury...don't worry about the thorium. If it did not meet rules, then you need to do some investigating to find out where it's coming from. Chelation would require you giving antioxidants and liver support anyway. > > Our Hair Elements test shows my daughter testing > Thorium .007 reference range .005 about the 80 percentile. > Does anyone have experience detoxing thorium from our kids. > She is mercury toxic among many other things and we will be starting > ALA after we get the copper down a bit.
