Guest guest
Absolutely it takes longer for some kids. A lot of trying to work out what is going on biochemically is trial and error. We progressed very slowly for a couple of years until we started Cutler protocol, and then the improvements started coming rapidly. mywonderbaby wrote: > > We have been with the GFCF for about 3 months now and also on many > supplements and enzymes for the last 2 months and I havent seen any > major improvements on my 2 yr old DS. Guest guest
Maya--Are you giving vitamin A, maybe in the form of cod liver oil? That is what started my daughter speaking initially.--Tod > > We have been with the GFCF for about 3 months now and also on many > supplements and enzymes for the last 2 months and I havent seen any > major improvements on my 2 yr old DS. Guest guest
yes he gets both cod liver oil and omega 369 . :-) Maya > > > > We have been with the GFCF for about 3 months now and also on many > > supplements and enzymes for the last 2 months and I havent seen any > > major improvements on my 2 yr old DS. Guest guest
Maya, you may already be doing this, but I have kept a log of my son's progress - maybe it's monthly, maybe bi-monthly, but I write his pro's and con's at that time and keep it going. I am able to look back and see that he really has had improvement, but maybe I don't see it on a daily basis. Just a suggestion if you're not already doing it. I keep it as an ongoing word document on my computer... in fact, reminds me, I need to add to it. The GFCF diet can take up to 6 months to see results as the body can hold onto gluten that long. You might want to consider a trial of going soy-free too. Be sure you read each and every label every time you purchase something. My son made vast improvement doing some basic DAN! protocol - vitamin (Nuthera), mineral (Minerall), CLO (nordic naturals), topical glutathione cream and probiotics, along with GFCFSF. It is almost 2 years that we've been on this journey and I've had many up's and many down's, but I've seen consistant steady gains in my son, who will be 5 in February and geared to attend regular kindergarten in the fall with no aide! Is your son also getting speech therapy? What are his bowel movements like? Hang in there, I know it seems like it has been a long time. It sure makes doing all this a lot easier when you do see the " wow's " but those don't happen every day. Try dropping soy and see what happens. > > We have been with the GFCF for about 3 months now and also on many > supplements and enzymes for the last 2 months and I havent seen any > major improvements on my 2 yr old DS. Guest guest
Videos too! Take videos now if you can. You'd be surprised how quickly you get used to the gains and forget where they started. It took my daughter 6 months before we got words when we started diet and biomeds. We are a year in now and she is still using single words. A little bit of 2 or 3 words together but not much. Her receptive is just starting to get better now. Starting the Cutler protocol is giving us the best gains so far. That and daily MB12 injections. It's been a year of trial and error here. We have a long way to go. 3 months into this I can say there wasn't much happening with her. Keeping going, it's worth it! > > > > We have been with the GFCF for about 3 months now and also on many > > supplements and enzymes for the last 2 months and I havent seen any > > major improvements on my 2 yr old DS. Guest guest
For us, the first 6 months of biomed were ups, downs and a fair amount of nothing. I saw no major improvements for my son until I gave HNI enzymes and removed a few foods [not gfcf, I had to remove rice, corn, and orange and green foods. Adding back wheat caused improvement.] Then I had to chelate. Then supplements, including anti-virals. What are his current issues? That can tell you where you need to focus. A child with yeast issues and/or virus issues won't tend to show improvement until those issues are addressed. >>We also started with the B12 > shots but no improvement. At my house, hand flapping was eliminated with B vitamins, anti-virals, and anti-fungals. > DOes it take longer for some kids to show results? Yes, depending on how many biomedical issues need addressing. My son has always been a slow responder to most things, because he had soooooooo many issues to address. > From this differnet test results, he seems to have antimony toxicity > along with some mercury and arsenic. I wrote here what he needed to correct that. http://www.danasview.net/mar05.htm Dana
