Guest guest
We open up Vit A caps and divide the powder up for cats here when they are sick - recently a cold. We just leave the powder out until it is used up. We don't mix it until ready to use it, and don't put it in the fridge. It is still effective. We also do the same with C, as we mix A and C when they are sick. Guest guest
Can you get Vit A in powder form in capsules. That's what I assumed you were using when I answered. Sorry. Online vendors will usually tell you if its cap, pills or capsules. It seems someone here helped another member with an online supplier that would ship supps to Australia, if you can't find an Australian one. P. Guest guest
Thanks , but Kirkmans only accept credit card and won't tell me the shipping cost to Australia.(I'm sure there are other parents here that don't buy their supplements via credit card?) Guest guest
Gail. thankyou so much, I will look into this tonight when I have time. Don't know why Australia is so strict with exporting of supplements. Will get back to you soon and let you know how I went. Donna. [ ] Re: Vit' A caps-Dana Hi Donna, I'm in Australia - Perth. I get my powdered vit A 25,000 from FXmed in New Zealand - it's a Thorne product. The TGA has recently done a dummy spit about overseas products that we were able to get into Australia through New Zealand under the Trans-Tasman Trade agreement so the products are no longer available off the shelf here. You can order them from FXmed for personal and family use if you have a practitioner account with them or you have a prescription from a practitioner who has an account with them - usually a Natropath or a GP who is doing Nutritional Medicine using Hair analysis. I think they have direct debit and other payment options - there is a free call number 1800 225 744 630 - they can give you more info and might be able to tell you a practitioner who is close to you. Let me know if you can't find anyone to organise it for you - I could send one of my forms that you could use. Email me privately if you need to. Gail. We are still getting powdered from iHerb - Nature's Way 15,000 A with 400 D. , is the retinyl palmitate or retinyl acetate? Guest guest
retinyl palmitate and beta caratene, which I realize lowers the actual IU of A in the capsule. We just give more to the people in our house if need higher IU for a virus we are treating. Or in the case of the cats, I like that it isn't all A. The vet has concerns about overdosing them with A, so gives us the division based on this combo. P.
