Guest guest
Dear Readers, Re /message/10891 I would like add that the OST and NSEP program in very successful in prevention of HIV/AIDS and others blood born disease in Churachandpur apart from minimizing new infection of HIV, it also reduce crime related to drugs. Most importantly drugs users, those who are on ART can adhere to their medication. It is very successful in project level. For example in countering terrorism there is always collateral damage, its unfortunate. what I want to highlight is that the decision makers to relooked the program and guideline so that the drugs users who want to give up Bruprenorphine and lead sobriety life have a opportunity. The majority of drugs users can’t effort to pay the rehabilitation cost. Some reader were confuse regarding the numbers of beneficiary of “The NACP III Oral Substitution program of Bruprenorphine†in Churachandpur Manipur, Northeast India. Which I mention in the E forum. I would like to elucidate that the numbers of recipient which I mention of 2000 Drugs Users/PLHAs is both Needle and Syringes Exchanges (NSEP) and recipients of Oral Substitution Therapy (OST) and its approximate not accurate numbers. I would like to express regret to the readers Regards Mike Tonsing Churachandpur, Manipur Northeast India Mob: 09862449765 e-mail: <mtonsing2003@...>
