Guest guest
Hi Lori, I figured as much. Mercury causes aberrant behavior, but mold causes really dramatic CRAZY fight/flight response IMO. They are real similar, and in Ritchie's book the similarities are right there, like mercury, from Andy's book. Very interesting. What part of the country do you live in? My Dr. is in Northern CA. Treatment for mold and chelation (Andy's protocol) have made a big difference for me. But the mold treatment has been key for the anxiety issues. If you have it in house, and haven't remediated this could be why. Any small amount of mold if the person has the genetic presuppositions and previous exposure cause a problem. Do you rent or own? if you rent, might have to consider moving. If you own might have to remediate. I've had to get rid of two librays both times there was toxic mold. It eats anything organic, paper, sheet rock, us. So I had to let go off everything paper, or store in sealed plastic. Got rid of all upholstery, stuff animals. Current thought to clean is with white vinegar, used to be bleach; 10 to 1. It's a real issue. He probably is doing the best he can. Can't control the reaction. Very uncomfortable. There are tests to prove it's toxic and blood tests to check elevated anti-bodies, and genetic tests that I did to prove it. Medicare covered. Email offline if you want to talk in detail. Be well. Alison F. You have my empathy. It's a very challenging walk, especially with mercury also. 7a. Re: Lori/ meltdown/see any black mold? Digest Number 13976 Posted by: " lori_mcilwain " lori_mcilwain@... lori_mcilwain Date: Sun Dec 7, 2008 7:32 pm ((PST)) There was a leak under our house, which created a ton of mold. It's been removed for a few weeks now. Sometimes he stays at the apartment with me and his sister stays at the house. I'm anxious to see what moving out will do for him (we're planning to move to a floorplan where they can be separated better). Fall is the worst time of the year for him -- we're covered in leaves over here. I bought the best air filter I could find a couple of years ago -- IQair. Also and aquasauna whole-house water filter, and new heatpump with filter. Mold's a huge problem. Feels like I'll never get away from it. No sinus problems. He's rarely sick these days. But behavior-wise, I know that mold is affecting him. It could be the day before a rain, and I can tell through his behavior that rain is on the way... > > Lori, > > I had VERY severe issues like this. I had toxic mold in two different rental units. Both times caused my son and I major meltdowns. Out of my mind crazy. I thought it was HPA axis stuff. And guess what per Ritchie Shoemaker, MD. Causes havoc in some of us. Mercury, lyme, toxic mold all change genetics. Mercury makes the mold reaction way worse. > > Alison F.
Guest guest
Hi, Alison -- thanks for the reply. We're in NC. I tested the house for mold and it came up negative, but then we discovered the leak. It had to have been there for months if not years. My son was actually diagnosed with autism when we were living in a different house. We'll move again and see what happens. Chelation is very much needed. > > > > Lori, > > > > I had VERY severe issues like this. I had toxic mold in two different rental > units. Both > times caused my son and I major meltdowns.
