Goa: Positive Lives India (PLI+) in local action for orphan and vulnerable children

Greetings from Positive Lives India (PLI+)...!

The Positive Lives India (PLI+) is a not - for - profit, civil society national

level leading Community Based Organisation formed by Young - People Living with

and Personally Affected by HIV/AIDS in 2000, with regional scope, managed and

working directly with the community of People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in

the Indian context on HIV/AIDS.

Positive Lives India (PLI+) that has been working in Goa for the welfare of

People Living with and Affected by HIV/AIDS since 2000.

PLI+ in collaboration with Humsaath-Goa, recently distributed books and

educational materials to 82 children of those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.

This is part of ongoing efforts to provide care and support in helping

individuals live with dignity.

The function was held at Positive Lives India in North-Goa. The objectives of

the programme was to acknowledge a child's right to education. The educational

materials were sponsored by Spiritual Peace Charitable Trust. The community

coordinator of Humsaath-Goa, Mr. Monalias Thakur, welcomed the gathering.

Those present on the occasion were chairperson of Spiritual Peace Charitable

Trust, Mr. Ashok Kasle, President of Positive Lives India (PLI+), Mr. Jaffer

Inamdar, President of Humsaath - Goa, Mr. Deepak Parab and others.

While speaking on the occasion Mr. Kasle said every special child deserved love,

care and support. Mr. Parab congratulated all those who made this initiative

possible.

Board member of Positive Lives India (PLI+), Ms. Fahmida Shaikh proposed the

vote of thanks.
