Dear all,

Link workers Scheme is being implemented in Uttar Pradesh under

mainstreaming wing. The fund crisis is in continuation mode in Five

" A " category districts. in spite of fund crisis the link workers have

contacted and referred a big number of core group and migrants members to

service delivery points. The are conducting BCC sessions among target groups.

they are working in unwell circumstances which are as follows,

-The Link workers scheme staff are struggling to get their honorarium

since last 8 month.

- The most of the counselor and LT's post is vacant, even in one disrict the

counselor and LT post of district ICTC is vacant since last 12 months.

- In most district HIV testing Kit is missing, when Link Worker refer

target people after BCC session, their use to come back without testing with the

expense of some money.

- When the DAPCU member contacted, they are telling that there is a Kit

crisis at state level also.

The program is very popular in which areas where more than 85% population

resides of the state but with the above circumstances this has been hampered.

The RRE (Red Ribbon Express) is passing through 2 district of the

5, they are excited. But the rain of excitement has been converted in to shower

of depression with the above crisis.
