Guest guest
Hi Kate, Stop the IV, it's dangerous. Do only the oral on Andy's protocol and eventually add ALA to get the mercury out of the brain. S S IV-DMPS & oral DMSA Posted by: " Kate Dorn " katedorn@... katedorn Sun Dec 7, 2008 4:31 pm (PST) It was recommended to us since our son is extremely metal toxic that we give oral -dmsa on the off weeks of our IV -dmps. We go every two weeks for iv chelation. Anyone else doing this? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! Kate ------------------------------------------------------------ Drug Rehab Get help now! Guest guest
, Where have you heard IV's are dangerous. We've been doing them for about a year and have had no ill side effects. I'd like to see where you received this info as I might be able to forward this on to my doctor. I've had many people some even on this message board to exact warning me of the dangers of oral DMSA. I guess the proof is in the pudding. Everyone has different experiences with all different types of chelators. I would still love to read where you heard IV'S are dangerous. I certainly am only going off of the info our doc has given us and would love to be making a more informed decision on such a risky form of detoxing. Thanks for anything you can help me with!! Guest guest
Kate, Check out www.dmpsbackfire.com I have personally talked to at least 6 people who used IV's for their kids who had great success for quite some time and then a serious relapse, so noneventful past events don't prevent disaster. The kind of relapses where the child previously had language and then had none. I'm not sure who you are referring to who said that oral Dmsa was dangerous, but that is inaccurate. Except that any protocol or chelator is dangerous if not used according to it's half-life, or the time it is active in the body. Read the files on the group page to understand why giving chelators according to their half-life gives the best chance of success with the least chance of regression. IV's are considered dangerous because they use one whopping dose of chelator with a great danger of redistribution. The low/frequent dosing of chelators is designed to limit the danger of redistribution. [ ] Re: IV-DMPS & oral DMSA Hi Kate, Stop the IV, it's dangerous. Guest guest
http://www.dmpsbackfire.com/default.shtml The biggest dangers of oral DMSA or ALA are if one uses improper protocol, too high a dose (which unfortunately prescribed by many (including DAN!) doctors or use them with mercury amalgam dental fillings still in place. Guest guest
I second on them being dangerous. I have talked to adults where were made seriously worse using IV chelation. And they are now trying to reverse the damage using oral chelation on Andy's protocol. Some of them got neuraliga, others MS...so who knows when your playing with huge doses of chelators like that. I have not found oral dmsa to be dangerous in the three years we have been using it. But we follow the low/frequent dose protocol described in the files too. > > http://www.dmpsbackfire.com/default.shtml > > The biggest dangers of oral DMSA or ALA are if one uses improper protocol, too high a dose (which unfortunately prescribed by many (including DAN!) doctors or use them with mercury amalgam dental fillings still in place. > S S > > ------------------------------------------------------------ > Weight Loss Program > Best Weight Loss Program - Click Here! > http://tagline.excite.com/fc/BK72PcZZxfh6dVHNuJ1UpudhtLdtA4U5nUKRB7MubiYWCeGVBtF\ 5hW/ > >
Guest guest
Hi Jan, Thanks for your imput on the matter. The only concern I have is that when my son was on oral DMSA he would SCREAM!!!!and cry in pain and hold his stomach about 4-5 times a day and would stop after 2 days in to our off days. Supps gave no pulls at all as well as transdermal. So I either give him the IV and get the great pulls or give him the dmsa and get OK pulls and a screaming, crying non-verbal 5 year old. Can you see why I would opt for the IV? Guest guest
Consider oral DMPS, given every 8 hours (half-life). Most of us don't do it because it requires a prescription and DMSA and ALA don't.
