Guest guest
Some of us have an overabundance of streptococcus mutans (the bacteria which causes cavities). I have cavities every visit to the dentist as a child (every 6 months), had seventeen when I have my amalgams replaced with composite. I just had 3 fillings placed on Thursday, have an appt for 3 more on Jan 3 and have at least 2 more beyond that. I had my wisdom teeth removed due to crowding when I was in college and 4 other teeth were removed when I got braces. I'm going to see about having the NAET treatment for strep viridans which includes strep mutans to see if that will help. I'll let you know. It doesn't seem to matter how much I brush or what kind of fancy power brush I use. If I wake up in the middle of the night, I get up and brush my teeth. I brush first thing in the morning, brush after breakfast,, lunch, and supper, and before bed. It's ridiculous. Of course bad teeth and/or excessive strep mutans runs in the family. My maternal grandparents, my maternal uncle and my younger sister all got dentures in their 40s. I'm taking OLE (natural anti-viral, anti-bacterial) but need to up the dose. S S HELP.....6 cavities Posted by: " Laurie " lauriejenki@... lauriejenki Sun Dec 7, 2008 11:21 am (PST) Our 10 yr old with (high func.aspergers) was complaining about a tooth that hurt. We took him to a regular dentist to have his teeth cleaned and examind. We requested mininal amount of x-rays (2 bite wings). The results came up 6 cavities I know our son couldn't handle any drilling or pulling of teeth. Does anyone know of a safe option for him? The denist said he would just pull the 2 larger cavities (teeth) out because the adult teeth are coming through. What type of filling for the smaller cavities would be safe? Of coarse the dentist had to give me the reason our son had so many cavities as he was reminded of our request of NO FLORIDE before they started the cleaning. He said this is what we see in children who do not have floride. I then told him my theory..... " Maybe it could be due to almost 3 yrs. of leaky gut due to his vaccines. I then reminded him that our 2 other children 17 and 24 yrs have NEVER had floride. Neither of them have had any cavities either. I have to wonder if the DMSA or supplements could cause cavities as our son could never swollow any pills. Any help would be appreciated! Frustrated Mom! Guest guest
Read this thread about curing cavities with nutrition. Basically, high-vitamin CLO and raw butter oil does the trick. http://www.mothering.com/discussions/showthread.php?t=399989 I'm not sure if they can reverse large cavities, but it might be worth a try. Xylitol is supposed to be helpful too, but that's more for prevention. They make gums and mints, and they also sell them as sugar substitutes (I just bought some yesterday from iherb.com). Go up to the Dental forum on mothering.com and browse around too - you'll probably find a lot of good info (too much at first, LOL) on prevention. Where the water contains lots of Vanadium, no cavities, where it doesn't, lots of cavities. http://www.mothering.com/discussions/showthread.php?t=399989 I'm not sure if they can reverse large cavities, but it might be worth a try. Someone on another list used DMSA, which pulls lead, and it caused her child to develop a lot of cavities. Her doctor told her it was because the DMSA pulled lead from the teeth, and there was not sufficient calcium to replace it. So she added a calcium supplement.
