Guest guest
...chuckling at the " infringing " part - this group rocks, infringement & the resultant diverse answers totally rocks, imo everyone is soooo different, that the more answers out there, the better ...anyway, some comments below... > > , I think my boy has lead too. What testing is the most > accurate? We got a DDI hair elements test and hair toxic metals test > and both indicate moderately high lead. ==Not really sure...My youngest " older " children had blood tests as toddlers - with lead levels in the teens/upper teens, further testing that year showed those coming down...That is the last testing they had for lead. No hair tests done for older kids, just my migraine girl. Lead is not so big an issue for her, most of her exposure would have come from me I tend to extrapolate from that hair test of hers, with older kids/myself, mostly did the hair test itself for confirmation for " Other People " , as I was reasonably sure for my own self that mercury & other tox's were definitely contributing & needed to be addressed...Back to lead, we have lived in older houses with chipping lead paint, pipes, etc. and have done as much preventive stuff as I knew to do, over the years...I would limit exposure as much as possible, chelate Andy style, and tailor the food/diet/supps and such, yk? That is, if it were me, lololol...my reasoning, If I am reasonably sure lead is a problem - most things that help with lead are generally good on their own, adding more leafy greens comes to mind (tho we now self limit those - working on the home gardening angle, see if we can tolerate more that way ...anyway, things like that.. We just had a blood > test done too and none was detected. I don't trust the blood test, > but wondering if hair is accurate. I also have the opportunity to > get him a free bone density scan at Costco which I made an appt. for, > do you think this will be useful? Is it specifically the knees they > should look at? ===really?! that is rather coolish (in an argh-ish sort of way) that knees might be more indicative of lead poisoning & makes sense too..one of my lead kids has had extreme knee issues off & on (will be pondering that one a tad .....but, unless there were tentative/set plans to do something " iffy-ish " to target lead poisoning itself, I am not sure I would put (my) kids thru that much testing, yk? > > Sorry for infringing on your thread, Becky. ===still chuckling wishing you the best answers elizabeth
