" It has been found out that the telephone contact numbers provided in such advertisements are registered outside Goa, in other states and even in other countries, and no local persons appear to be involved in the sex service racket, " he told the House as replying to a related Zero Hour mention by the Fatorda MLA, Mr Damodar Naik. The Chief Minister also stated that inquiry has been initiated in connection with the advertisements published in newspapers, and the police are trying to find how they can nab the culprits. Earlier, Mr Naik stated that online prostitution has damaged the image of Goa as a popular tourist destination. " There are at least 20 to 22 websites coming out with such advertisements, with `Goa Escorts' being provided along with details like hours of service, mode of payment, contact numbers and even map showing the destinations for these services, " he pointed out, adding that these advertisements, which promise 100 per cent sexual satisfaction to clients, have fixed rates like Rs 10,000 for college girls, Rs 15,000 for aspiring models and Rs 20,000 for working girls. Pointing out that 24-hour high-profile Russian girls are also being offered through such advertisements, the Fatorda MLA demanded that the government should try to arrest those responsible for this racket, irrespective of where they are based, and bring them to Goa for producing them before the court of law. In another Zero Hour mention, the Fatorda MLA pointed out that Roshni Rego, a girl student of the Damodar Higher Secondary School, while crossing the railway track died a gruesome death. " She had to cross the railway track due to the flooding of the subway, " he pointed out. The leader of the opposition, Mr Manohar Parrikar demanded that a pump should be provided to suck the water out of the subway. The Public Works Department Minister, Mr Churchill Alemao maintained that the government has requested the Konkan Railway Corporation to construct a subway and 3-foot bridges at various locations along the railway line in Margao. Assuring that the government and the KRC will jointly take up various precautionary measures for the commuters along the railway line, Mr Alemao assured the House that a pump would be provided to draw the water out of the subway. Reacting to yet another Zero Hour mention, as regards the landslide along the Pilgao-Narvem road in the Mayem constituency, the Revenue Minister, Mr Philip D'Souza said that the mamlatdar of Bicholim and PWD officials are already on the site and traffic is being diverted from the road. " We will soon clear the road, " he assured, informing that the PWD has already submitted an estimate for constructing a retaining wall to prevent further landslides. http://www.navhindtimes.in/goa-news/cid-probing-advts-sex-hub-govt
