Guest guest
This is great....your son is recovering. We are making improvements too. I have told others about this group and how to help their kids. I given out the links/ handouts from the home page to everyone in my son's class...including the teacher. I don't understand why no one seems interested that their kid AS could be from mercury poisoning from vaccines and/or viral issues. No one seems interested or believes me. They look at me as if I am from mars. Or they say that it's the latest " craze " ....until the next " hot " treatment comes along. WHY? From: <elizabethsoliday@...> Subject: [ ] Our two months off Date: Saturday, December 6, 2008, 10:28 AM Hi all, we took a couple months off because of my son 's finger and the surgery he had on it. It has healed nicely, but looks strange LOL. & lt;br> Anyway, for approx. two months, our son was only on Amla, B-12 > injections, and Cal-Mag-D. He improved more than he ever has. Chelating was really tough for him, he had lots of yeast, achey joints, and was generally uncomfortable. The break has done WONDERS. His teacher said that all the staff that worked with him were excited to meet for his progress report because his progress was just amazing! She said " the words are pouring out of him " and that he loves participating in first grade...to be taken out is a punishment. To paraphrase Andy, taking a break allows your body to rebalance all the things mercury and other metals have disrupted. Well I tell you what, things are normalizing and rebalancing over here! I started the kids on another round this weekend and it's going well, we will continue. I'm a believer! Thanks Andy and all for your support
Guest guest
My husband made me a little angry tonight. He and his dad were talking in the kitchen while I was cooking and his dad said, " so you don't like to use these pans because the bits of teflon might break off into the food? " and I said, " yes " , so my husband chimes in and says, " she'll use the cast iron until someone on the internet tells her it is bad. " He had a couple drinks in him, so he didn't get the frying pan slammed on his head....but I felt like it Yes, it is difficult to convince people what you are doing is right. I was a bit worried myself until we stopped, my son's body rebalanced, and I saw the amazing results and so did everyone else. We went back to chelating this weekend and today was bouncing off the walls at my father-in-law's because he was all yeasty and giggley. I got smart and went into the cupboards and got out some chestnuts and some plastic bowls, then I cut a hole in a paper plate so he could drop the chestnuts through the hole into the bowls. He loved it, and everybody laughed because he played with them with such joy for the next hour. It was really hard till I did that though, my husband wanted me to come visit with them and I was busy chasing him off the furniture and away from the breakables (father-in-law is house-sitting Yikes!) So I told them he was yeasty because of the chelation that I was doing. I am sure they were thinking, he was doing fine, why did she go and mess him up again!? So trust me, I know, it's a continuous battle no matter who it is - family or others - in the end they will see, but for now I do try to keep them informed by telling them all about why I do what I do. As for the parents of kids with autism who don't believe, well, I just don't know what to say. I thought about working in Special Ed, but when I saw what the kids were experiencing and felt there were many food allergies causing many of their problems, I didn't want to. I didn't want to because I knew most of the parents wouldn't listen and it would be hard for me to watch the kids suffer. If they wouldn't listen about food allergies, why would they listen about chelation? > From: <elizabethsoliday@...> > Subject: [ ] Our two months off > > Date: Saturday, December 6, 2008, 10:28 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi all, we took a couple months off because of my son 's finger > > and the surgery he had on it. Guest guest
, Don't sweat it.. some parents were saying the EXACT same thing in 1998 when we (myself and only a handful of other lobbyists) were fighting the Thimerosal fight on the Hill in DC. Even with Rimland and company giving weeks worth of Testimony that even the pharmy lobbyists couldn't fight... Some parents called it 'the latest craze'. I believe that those that say that are very much out of tune with what the vast majority of us KNOW. I look at things as a 'believer' of our Maker. I either KNOW.. or I don't. There is no guessing, thinking, feeling, wondering. I know that this is a battle our God gave us as he knows we can handle it. Dismiss what is being said and go with your 'gut feeling' .. which is always right. Guest guest
Chronic illness, cancer, etc is going to keep rising for a long time yet, and by the time the majority is ready to listen it will be too late for a lot of them. Just help who you can. That's the best you can do. Would they listen to history? At least one historian has stated their is sufficient evidence to show the fall of the Roman Empire was directly due to a new directive that was given that had all grapes for wine processed through lead lined bowls, etc. Then they ended up with a LOT of their society lead poisoned and not very competent to do anything. History is probably going to repeat itself soon. wrote: > > My husband made me a little angry tonight. Guest guest
History is probably going to repeat itself soon. GROWL. Once again, you have precisely the words for how I often feel. This is the thought that makes me nuts, that sparks my most fervent past " vents " ...it is the underlyng thought that keeps most of my info-slams fairly short. Rarely, if not ever, do I NOT find some sort of corrobation for even the seemingly most outlandish statements, yk? I have gone from insanely appalled, to, well, a more defensive sort of way of being. It does feel inevitable, much much too often. And, far far too soon, to boot, imho. My favorite found phrase still remains " bunch of idiot thieves. " Rather sums the whole mess of it all up quite nicely for me. wishing you, and all, the best, elizabeth > > Chronic illness, cancer, etc is going to keep rising for a long time > yet, and by the time the majority is ready to listen it will be too late > for a lot of them. > > Just help who you can. Guest guest
I talked with another mom of a spectrum kid today. She said that she grew up on marine bases. One base had been contaminated by waste from a dry cleaner. The agents were known to cause certain cancers and birth defects. She has had two cancers - both listed on that list and her first baby was born with birth defect listed from that also. She said " I always wonder if it was growing up in that, that caused my baby to be born with those defects and die within days of birth and what has caused those cancers. " I would bet money on it! (Even though it was several years later). > > > > My husband made me a little angry tonight. Guest guest
Because most of our society has been brainwashed to believe that doctors, mainstream medicine, and pharmaceutical companies have our best interest in mind. We know that's not the case. Most parents have also been told repeatedly that autism in lifelong and incurable and not to trust anything parents say on the internet....Sad, huh? Recover your child and than maybe a few of them will take note. S S Re: I am a beliver...but no one around me is Posted by: " j. Guest guest
I feel your pain. I think I can safely say that we have all been in your shoes at one point or another. I experienced the same revelation a month or two ago and posted about it here. We attended a birthday party for one of my son's classmates, and I was roundly attacked at the party for having my son on the gfcf, sf diet. Never mind mercury poisoning, vaccines or chelation. I did not even get into that. They jumped on me because I would not let my son eat the msg and sugar laden snacks they provided. We brought our own cake. We were very mellow and did not say anything until pressed, and we were attacked on all sides. One parent even said that gf helped her boy but it was " too much trouble " so now he is back to being non verbal and biting people. Then my son's teacher at a parent teacher conference derided me for the diet (again forget the rest of biomed I don't even get into that ) and told me that what I was doing was bs. I told her that I wanted to recover my son like McCarthy did and she said " you do that " ever so condescendingly. In many ways we are alone and yes it is astounding to think that other parents wouldn't jump on the chance to help their kids regardless of how " alternative " it seems or that educators would be against this (my thought is that they feel threatened, that what they do is somehow diminished or unimportant in the face of diet and vitamins etc, when in fact you need both biomed and the therapeutic interventions as well to have a recovered child in my view) And other family members too, yes we all encounter opposition there too, because what we do is not " accepted " or sanctioned by the powers that be--because they (AAP etc) are the ones behind, the driving forces, that harmed our kids and continue to do so to others. I encounter it everyday from my spouse in small ways, even though he does generally get the big picture of why we need to do what we do. But the details are exhausting - the pots we use etc. What we do is inconvenient, and it is hard in the sense of being time consuming, and it is easier for family members and other parents to be in denial. It is a simpler place to be, my child is " genetically impaired " there is nothing we can do. Somedays, sure when I am up at 3 am with my syringe of chelator, I think to myself, I can get where those other parents are, but I can't leave my child mercury poisoned and suffering because it is " tiring " or inconvenient. Hopefully, sometime in our lifetime, the Big Pharma conspiracy will come to an end, and what we do will become the mainstream to recover the victims of this conspiracy, but until then we have to forge on. In a sense, we are like whistleblowers in what we believe and do here, and whistleblowers do not have an easy time of it. It is ok to vent, but once you make this realization, you have to pick yourself up and move on and do what you need to do. I console myself with the thought, one day my son will be recovered, and that will be the best way to show family and others that biomed/chelation is in fact effective and autism is curable. Guest guest
Irene, your post is wonderful. I'm sorry you had such an attack. People have such a big investment in their diets. When I told my high school best friend (and this is over 35 years ago) that my daughter didn't do well on cow's milk, she went bananas. Got really angry and upset. A few months ago we were talking; she has m.s. pretty bad, even had a stroke. The m.s. diet is casein-free/gluten-free too, it also being an immune system problem. She told me that she did much better gf/cf, and then paused and said something about giving me a hard time all those years ago! So maybe some of those parents and others will be eating their words (instead of junk food). The birthday party itself reminded me of a sweet memory. We'd moved and my daughter had just started public school, after being in Montessori. She was in fourth grade. One little girl had a birthday right in the beginning of school, and she sent my daughter the sweetest invitation, written herself. She said: " Don't worry about what to eat at the party. I will have raisins and other healthy things for you. " I hope that child has had a wonderful life; her kindness really touched us. Thanks again for such an eloquent email Irene. Guest guest
" ...so he didn't get the frying pan slammed on his head.... " Well, if you ever feel you must do that, make sure you use the teflon one. That way you can kill two birds with one stone: vent your frustrations and prove to him that teflon can hurt you... Seriously, subconsciously he's probably just a bit jealous that you are learning all this stuff and are successful in applying it. He's just showing his own feelings of inadequacy that he is not the one with the answers. His problem isn't with you. It's with himself. Just accept his struggle and Zen through it. He'll need some time to sort it out but, if he's not actively obstructing you in your endeavors, then he probably knows you're doing the right thing and his heart is in the right place too.
