That's true.  My son's cobalt level went up a lot being on the shots.  After we

stopped it it went down

Has anyone heard of cobalt poisoning from MeB12 shots administered for too long?

My kids have both been on these injections for years. I had a consult with a

well-known non-DAN! physician who requested I stop giving these until he does

some further testing. He said he has found many kids who have been on these

shots long term have higher than the industrial level of toxicity for cobalt.

Is this just with the shots or also the oral? What are symptoms of

this, my son is on shots for 2 yrs. now.

thanks,

I only know about the shots.  Can't tell about symptoms, we did the test, but I

heard some may have pink pee, but that's when level is very high, I didn't wait

that long to take him off

I don't know if this is only a concern for the injections or if it includes

nasal and oral too. I googled cobalt toxicity and several symptoms were

listed. The two that stuck out to me in my kid's cases were thyroid and

digestive disturbances which have both gotten worse in the last year or so. The

doctor who gave me the warning said very elevated levels of cobalt are

associated with retardation....great :-( Once we get the test results back and

consult with the doctor, I'll report back.

I test my son regurlarly with Labcorp.  My son was on MB12 injections (every

other day) for a year.  He was reported to be toxic.  He did not seem to have

any symptoms.  I just stopped giving it to him and he is OK.

Just be careful!

This thread troubles me greatly. Why would the injections cause this? I don't

understand.

Does it matter who compounds them and how? My son has been on them for about 5

1/2

months. He gets them once every three, sometimes every four days, if we cant'

fit it in.

Does this matter? If it is given less frequently? Before we started the shots

or chelation, my

son's cobalt on his hair test was so low it was in the red, now in a recent hair

test it is

approaching the white, 50th percentile, so there is something to this. What are

the other

options, oral B12 I guess, right? How much should one give by mouth? What about

transdermal, does this turn the kid's skin yellow? We did once give a B6 cream

and it turned

my son's body yellow.

Thanks. Irene

Ok. I asked my DAN about this yesterday and this is what he said. I hope I can

explain it as good as him. He said there are different forms of colbalt and some

forms are more toxic than others. The form in B12(chorinoids Sp?) isn't as toxic

as other forms(industrial and another form I cannot remember for the life of me)

He said that when colbalt is seen in a hair or urine sample most doctors assume

that it is one of these " bad " sources. He explained that even algae has colbalt

and that it is found in many different things. He says it leaves the body fairly

quickly. all in all he said I don't need to worry about this. I trust what he

says and I have seen the great things this has done for my son(by far the best

treatment for us to date) HTH!

Yellow skin at our house means either you need more liver support through milk

thistle 4x a day, artichoke, unda 243, castor oil pack, gallbladder or liver

cleanses. Or it means you need to back down on something that the liver can't

process fast enough.
