Guest guest
You seem to have all the answers to little problems, so I thought I would ask you! I switched my multi-vitamins to a whole food supplement. I also added mB12 sublingual, 1000mcg. The corner of my lips started to crack, and I read your post about B1 and B12 depleting B2, so I lowered the mB12 to 500mcg and lessened it to every few days, and still no change, so I stopped it altogether. It's better but not completely gone. I took a regular 500mcg B12 sublingual today, and it's starting to crack again. Is B2 still the problem with my cracked lips? Mine is just in the corner of my lips. I used to only get it if I'm on certain medications which I'm not now. My current supplement contains the following Bs: B1: 33mg from rice bran (2222% of RDA) B2: 33mg from pumpkin seeds (1960% of RDA) B3: 50mg from green papaya (250% of RDA) B6: 33mg from green pepper (1666% of RDA) B12: 66mcg from beets (1111% of RDA) Folic acid: 533mcg from onion, folate (133% of RDA) Biotin: 200mcg from tomatoes (66% of RDA) Pantothenic acid (B5): 50mg from cranberries (500% of RDA) It looks like I'm getting plenty of B2. Since I can't take away B1, should I try increasing my B2 intake by food or supplementing? Or am I missing something else? Any input is appreciated!
