Effect of Adrenal Organic Glandular vs ACE?

Due to a snafu on my part, I've just received 12 bottles of Adrenal

Organic Glandular instead of Adrenal Cortex Extract.

We usually take ACE here, not the glandular. I'm hoping that someone

who has tried both can comment on the effect of each. Does the

glandular work as well? Do I need more of it?

I'm debating whether I should send it back & ask for an exchange or

try it since the exchange (assuming iHerb does exchanges) will take a

few weeks.

Sorry I missed this post...

I have taken both and not with good result. I do fine on the Adrenal

cortex, but I don't do well on the whole adrenal. It makes me edgy,

nervous and " adrenally " . Like I drank to much coffee. In fact I have a

bottle in the cupboard I can't get rid of and no one can take.

If your bottle is un-openened, they may take it back. I'd try.

Especially with TWELVE bottles....

Since whole adrenal has adrenaline in it, and usually people don't do

as well with that.

I herb should take it back unopened, just explain that you

accidentally ordered the wrong product...

Thank you Jan for your input, that's what I was afraid of! One of my

kids opened a jar of the glandular product so I will try one from that

jar today to see how it feels.

I've written to ask but they haven't replied yet. iHerb doesn't

delivery to where I live so I need to have it shipped to someone local

who can then ship to me...it will take a few weeks. What a pain!

Oh, my goodness!  I just realized that what we ordered was Adrenal Cortex

Glanduler.  I meant to get the ACE and did not realize there was a difference. 

I planned to use this with my two little guys (34 pounds).  I have already

opened the bottle but have not actually started them on it yet.  I was waiting

until after the holidays since I was introducing some other supplements.

 

Should I just go ahead and order the ACE and not mess with this bottle sitting

in my cabinet?

Where can I buy the ACE?  I got the other at amazon.com and I do not see ACE

listed on their site?

Dana, what you describe actually sounds like ACE to me since it has

Cortex in the name of the product.

Did you buy the Nutricology brand? If so, this is ACE and the bottle

reads Adrenal Cortex Organic Glandular:

What I bought reads Adrenal Organic Glandular (without the Cortex).

The jars look very similar.

What you have is the right thing. The terms are confusing. Often

we say ACE but what we really mean is Adrenal Cortex Glandular. This

is different from Adrenal Glandular (this product will include the

cortex and the medulla of the adrenal gland).

Neither of them will say Extract. The one you want will say Cortex.

Oh, thank you so much!  That is exactly what I bought (Adrenal Cortex Organic

Glandular hypoallergenic)
