Guest guest
I get our nystatin without any dyes or sugars. The pharmacist has to compound it himself.he told me my son would never take it, he does. The beauty part: my insurance Tufts PPO (terrible) won't cover it, they will if I use the one with sugar, but not the one without, the one without is pricey too, over $100 for a months worth. Can you imagine sugar in a yeast treatment? Come on! Sometimes I really wonder how stupid these people think we really are! If it were my kid, return it, and get the 'clean' version, best of luck, Alison M -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: " emp806 " <emp806@...> > I got Nystatin today morning. Guest guest
Yes, and probably also contains aluminum as most of them do. I did not use the prescription because of this reason..the aluminum and the dyes/colors don't go with my son. Ask if they can write a script for capsules or have it compounded with no of those things in it. My understanding is that regular nystatin does not have all that in it, only the liquid for children, because it does not taste good. But if one were to get small enough capsules the child could swallow them. We had to go use grapefruit seed instead. > > I got Nystatin today morning.
