Guest guest
Georiges Aloe Vera juice tastes like water, no problem to get my son drink it,vitacost and others have it Natalia From: bysonr <bybekah@...> Subject: [ ] Aloe Vera Juice for BM..Help!! Date: Tuesday, December 16, 2008, 10:35 AM My son has been given about 2 ounces of aloe vera juice to help with his retaining of bowel movements. We have really seen some imoprovement. I guess he does not like the taste (I had been putting it in juice)because now he won't touch his juice anymore. He is a very picky eater and now i am worried that he will drop drinking juice. When he doesn't have a good bowel movement he is very " stimmy " and hyper and more everything. When he was drinking the aloe vera he was much calmer and present. How can i get him to take his supplements? Anyone else have kids who refused? Bekah
Guest guest
Glyconutrients also contain aloe and don't have the strong taste that aloe supplements have. Sea salt also helps with keeping the gut moving and can be used to cook with so shouldn't be a taste issue. I know folks who buy empty capsules and make their own sea salt pills but I have never done that and it doesn't sound like it would be a good option for your child. Cooking with healthy oils also helps keep the gut moving. I currently have organic coconut oil, organic butter, and organic olive oil in my house. For a long time I only had organic coconut oil and organic butter. As we have healed, we use less coconut oil and I recently added olive oil. There's a chocolate cake recipe on my website made with organic butter, organic flour, and other wholesome ingredients and it makes us need to go to the bathroom. Good luck with this. Guest guest
Yes, it is the same with our 4 yr old son. When he doesn't poop he is uncomfortable, stimmy, etc. We give him aloe vera only when he hasn't gone in a couple of days, because we have heard it is habit-forming. We usually do 2 doses of 1 ounce each in about 3 ounces of apple cider. We put it over a lot of ice, which helps kill the taste. If he refuses, we put an ounce with a smaller amount of juice and force him to drink it, with a reward at the end. For regular pooping without aloe vera, we use a combination of one teaspoon of salba/salvia, which is a very high fiber grain sort of thing, and 1 teaspoon of magnesium/calcium powder. Neither things are very pleasant. We mix the salba with a little agave nectar and he chokes it down. We mix the mag/cal with a little juice. We used to use oxypowder - 1.5 caps in juice at night - and that sort of worked, but not reliably. We're taking a break from that and find the salba and magnesium combo is helping him be regular, and also makes his BMs darker and firmer textured, but still soft enough to pass. Guest guest
We use " s aloe vera " It has no taste at all. Just like water. I keep it chilled, but you do not have to. I just googled this so you can see what it looks like. You can check out some prices elsewhere and check your health food stores. http://www.iherb.com/productdetails.aspx?c=1 & pid=5913 & utm_source=gb & utm_medium=f\ 3 From: bysonr <bybekah@...> Subject: [ ] Aloe Vera Juice for BM..Help!!
