Absence of followup counseling for 2nd line ART clients at STM, Kolkata

Dear Forum,

In consecutive three months( April, May, June) I failed to found any followup

counseling for the 2nd line clients, when I attended STM, Kolkata to collect my

2nd line ARD.

From April what I am observing and experiencing that It has become a permanent

practice like whenever any 2nd line ART clients attain ART Center on Friday

they are directed to meet Social Workers at Virology out door.

Those Social Workers just maintain our treatment records just check our body

weight( sometimes they direct the clients to get that themselves, which is a

complete wrong method) and then ask the clients to count their pills and send

our files to Doctor's table.

Nobody bothers about the ongoing absence and need of followup counseling,

although there are at least four counselors are working at ART Center!
