Guest guest
Hello All, My 4.5yo daughter has no diagnosis but is like a CP-sensory processing kid, non verbal, does not walk normal. At 20 wks pg with her, i had an amalgym filling removed, so I always suspected she had a mercury infusion inutero. She acts more like a lead toxic kid- dyspraxia, pica.... . She had 2 DMSA challenges and 2 Ca EDTA and 1 DMPS challenge done. She is toxic, but not " too bad " per these challenge interpretations. Ok, now that I found this site, I have to ask: If I do a hair test, does it matter that she has been on supplements for over a year? Will that mess u the mineral count? Also, how do I know if the low dose of DMSA will work if the challenge with DMSA did not seem to pull a lot? I assume it is the fact that it is frequent dosing that slowly I will see the pulls. My gut tells me that by pregnacy history with the tooth deal, that she has a lot of mercury in her brain and ALA may be very helpful. Thanks a bunch Kathy

Giving a large dose of chelator, like is done with a challenge test, can cause redistribution. Why so many challenge tests? To answer you ?, sometimes supplementation will make a hair test look more normal and sometimes not. Depends on the individual. I would still recommend you get one done.===> Also, how do I know if the low dose of DMSA will work if the challenge with DMSA did not seem to pull a lot? I assume it is the fact that it is frequent dosing that slowly I will see the pulls. ===>If anyone takes a chelator, low dose or not, it will chelate metals. If metals are her problem, you will see improvements with low/frequent dosing of the DMSA/ALA.===> My gut tells me that by pregnacy history with the tooth deal, that she has a lot of mercury in her brain and ALA may be very helpful. ===>I think you are on the right track here. Good luck! Thanks a bunch Kathy
