There is saying  " Slow and steady win the race " . NACO is slow but doing very good

work. NACO cannot do everything on its own. Civil society population has to do

back-up and raise their voice to bring positive change in the India.

 

Blood safety is assured, preventing mother-to-child infection is successful to

some extent, bio-metric smart card will help HIV positive people for ART

adherence.

 

But simultaneously more focus is the need on HIV prevention and Awareness among

general population. Till today people are not comfortable talking or using

condom. Everybody in their life they have sex but everybody do not get Blood

Transfusion in their life time or there are some people who never even taken

injection even once in their life time.

 

What I want to bring to the notice of K. Chandramouli, secretary and Director

General, National AID Control Organization (NACO) that the need of the hour is

HIV Prevention and Awareness i.e. condom promotion and other safe sex messages

as the primary modes of HIV transmission is sexual routes.
