Guest guest
--- Personally I never start anything full dose.... [only exception was the dmsa which was Andy's protocol] I would start 1/4 dose...this way if the child has any negative reaction we arent in too deep. starting at 1/4 dose also gives thier body time to adjust.I also believe that according to McCandless calculations[which I havent looked at in a few years] your child would get 250 3x per day. 1000 seems too high to me but I am only a mom-ologist.[wink]In Autism- Mercury , " jenrichmond " <fledge01@...> wrote: > > My son is 4 yrs old, he's been on Diflucan for 3 months now as well as > supplements and a GF/CF diet. Viral die off [caused by Valtrex or other anti-virals] tends to cause a LOT of yeast overgrowth, and many of the symptoms you list above sound like yeast overgrowth to me. Try increasing the yeast protocol, and/or reduce the dose of Valtrex, see if that helps. Dana
Guest guest
That's a big dose for a 4 yo. You might try cutting back to 500 mg three times a day. I was prescribed this dose when I had Shingles last year. Pamela From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of jenrichmond Sent: Sunday, December 21, 2008 3:35 AM Subject: [ ] Valtrex - Help!!! Guest guest
My son is just turned 5, he gets: 250 mgX2 a day and 375 mg once before bed. That's coming from Dr. Goldberg, who is known for immune system work. I would stop that high dose and consider smaller one Natalia From: Pamela <pamelaleigh99@...> Subject: RE: [ ] Valtrex - Help!!! Guest guest
Hi, Do you really mean 1000 mg 3x day = 3000 mgs/day? That's a lot more than we gave our 4 yr old when he did Valtrex. We gave our son 250 mgs 3x day - 750 mgs day, per our DAN. Maggie > > My son is 4 yrs old, he's been on Diflucan for 3 months now as well as > supplements and a GF/CF diet. Guest guest
3000 mg is much too high. He should be on half that. Guest guest
I agree, I think this dose is way too high for a 4 year old child. > My son is 4 yrs old, he's been on Diflucan for 3 months now as well as > supplements and a GF/CF diet.
