Guest guest
My son was in the same situation. We use E, lots of C (about 3-4 grams a day), CoQ10, pycnogenol, selenium. To support detox, my son gets milk thistle, phosphatidylcholine and liver life. We also try to give him foods like wild blueberries to help with the oxidative stress. Guest guest
Melatonin is also a great brain antioxidant, was immensely helpful here, not for sleep, but for clarity, early on. And the blueberries were also very good. [ ] Re: Supplements for Oxidative Stress My son was in the same situation. We use E, lots of C (about 3-4 grams a day), CoQ10, pycnogenol, selenium. Guest guest
My son doesn't have sleep problems, but he does have the oxidative stress issues. If I was to try the melatonin do you give it before bed? > > > > Hello, > > > > My son is suffering from major oxidatie burden and his nerve cells > and > > membranes are dying. > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
If your son is like ours, melatonin will knock him out. I don't know about using it as an anti-oxidant, but in our experience it is a strong substance. We use a tiny amount (less than 1/2 a mg.) when our son has sleep problems. If we use it a couple of days in a row, he is cranky during the day. I recommend caution.
