Guest guest
BH Greetings dear friends! Completed 16 yo daughter's second round Monday afternoon...27 doses in total. Used 10 mgs dmsa (chemet) & 10 ala per dose with 250 mgs vita c in each capsule. Also gave 5 mgs biotin every third dose, increased that to every other when she started getting giddy. Seemed to work. Also dropped the ala from the last 2 doses, just dmsa. This second round was double the dose of the first round two weeks ago. She had some massive gas Tue & Wed. I upped her GSEs from 2 to 4 a day, & her sacc bou from 1 to 2. Also dubled the probiotic last nite. I kept her cranberry the same @ 4 caps a day. That's all I have her on for yeast except for adding the biotin on round. She seems less gassy now. Since she tells me she feels better on round than off ( & she seems far less spaced & tic-y on round) I was wanting to go again this weekend. The thing is, we're noticing a yellow skin cast, especially in her hands. I don't see it in the whites of her eyes tho. I've given her some extra milk thistle and extra cortisol for stress, but need to know what everyone thinks, especially Andy before I go again tomorrow. I think i'll stick to same dose rather than increase to 15 mgs as i'd originally planned . Ideas? TIA, Debra

I've given her some extra milk thistle and extra cortisol for stress, My son's body did not convert carotenes, and one of the symptoms of improper carotene conversion is yellow skin and/or eyes [this is not the only symptom tho]. According to a book I have, carotene conversion requires vitamin C, zinc, and thyroid hormone. My son also required selenium. One of the problems is that corn is a carotene food, and most commercial vitamin C is made from corn. So you might need to find a vitamin C that is not made from corn. Guest guest
can you explain this, what do you mean by bile that backs up, is custom probiotics cp 1 lactate free? > My son's eyes turned yellow and it meant he wasn't processing his probiotic. We ended up getting D-lactate free probiotics. Some children can't process the lactate in probiotics and it produces this bile that backs up...in our case it turned our son's eyes yellow. Custom Probiotics D-lactate free probiotics were expensive, but they fixed our yellow eye issues.
Guest guest
Yellow means liver to me...yellow also means to me that either the liver wasn't processing the chelator or the probiotics, or she isn't taking enough milk thistle. We gave milk thistle 4 times a day every day during rounds and off rounds from new beginnings. How much are you giving? My son's eyes turned yellow and it meant he wasn't processing his probiotic. Iwould make sure you are taking enough milk thistle first because it kind of sounds like more milk thistle could be the problem If I had to guess which thing it was. We gave our son 200 mg milk thistle 4 times a day. Yes, stick to the same dose until you figure out the yellow issues. Have her drink water with the milk thistle and make sure her bowels are moving. If you are seeing yellow and it IS liver problems a blood test for bilirubin should show it. Do you know if it is the ALA or DMSA that makes her feel better? Or have they always been given together? Guest guest
I would call the company or look it up on their website. I know that we purchase a D-lactate free version and the exact explanation of the bile thing is on the website on the page of information on D-lactate free.
