Guest guest
I would do the SCD diet first and see what foods she can tolerate. It takes care of yeast too. My guys started speaking on this diet with the addition of the omega oil supplements and magnesium. The diet can be found at peacanbread.com havasushannon wrote: > I have a 28 month old daughter who is speech delayed and has shown > signs of yeast since her thrush at 2 weeks of age. Guest guest
I tried for one full year diligently to get my son's yeast down with extremely strict diet and naturopathic remedies. Slight change only. Finally gave in and did diflucan (he has systemic yeast, even in ears, so nystatin was out) for back to back prescription 2 months total- huge change (HUGE) now we will rotate with the naturopathic stuff and perhaps have to repeat with prescriptions, rotating. It was worth it. I kick myself for not doing it earlier. My kid needed this to make a big enough dent in the yeast. Just my thoughts, hoping your daughter the best, you are doing so well by her, Alison M -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: " havasushannon " <havasushannon@...> > I have a 28 month old daughter who is speech delayed and has shown > signs of yeast since her thrush at 2 weeks of age. Candex can help with yeast, so can Candidase. I used biotin and GSE. > Sprouts to see if you can find a glycerite form of olive leaf > extract. Guest guest
Dana, Thanks for your response. I was going through the enzymestuff website and it says to start with a broad-spectrum enzyme, such as Zyme-Prime, then once that's tolerated start a strong protease such as AFP, then enter the probiotics(but skipping since we already are on them), then a yeast targeting enzyme such as Candex or Candidase, then a Yeast Killer such as Grapefruit seed extract, Pau d'arco or Garlic. What do you think of this program? And where would I fit biotin into it? Also, should I incorporate a supplement like Brainchild? I am worried she has low calcium because I do and she shows symptoms, and shares my diet of high protein, little to no vege, and no dairy (except butter). Thanks, > > > > I have a 28 month old daughter who is speech delayed and has shown > > signs of yeast since her thrush at 2 weeks of age. > > > I would give biotin and/or probiotics. > > > >>She has had mucousy stools on and off since starting solids, > > and still gets them after eating fruit or too much bread(which is > > very little). > > > This can mean yeast overgrowth, or food intolerance. > > > > " *Digestive Support – > > -Zyme Prime Chewable Tablets (ZYME-CHEW) – 2 tablets before every meal > > -AFP Chewable (PEPT-CHEW) – 2 tablets before every meal. > > > These should help. > > > > -VSL Packets (VSL-3) – ¼ packet in water or stevia sweetened lemonade > > daily. > > > If she has a milk problem, I understand VSL contains trace milk. > > > > -Activated Charcoal – 1-2 capsules per day. If she is showing symptoms of low calcium, definitely give more calcium foods, or a calcium supplement. At my house, calcium required magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin K, and lysine for proper absorption. Dana
Guest guest
Thank you. How did you know you needed to add the vit. k, etc for absorbtion of the calcium? Did you test or go off symptoms? > > > > Dana, > > Thanks for your response. Guest guest
Forgot, another question. On the supplements, I was thinking a vitamin and mineral one. My ND said to use Brainchild Sensitive, but I had her on the Support before (for maybe 3 months). Is one better than the other? And what is your opinion of their vit/min supplements, are they a good safe natural choice? I want the most natural, absorbable, and safe supplements for her. Thanks again,

Check the ingredients and see if there are any differences. Did the Support work well before? I have read quite a few messages sharing positive experiences with BrainChild products. They are very expensive tho. I have not researched BrainChild to know whether I would consider them " safe and natural " . >> I want the most natural, absorbable, and > > safe supplements for her. For " absorbable " , I found that carnitine was required for proper absorption of many supplements. And for my kids, folic acid also.
