Guest guest
My little 6 year old autistic boy who used to just throw tantrums by screaming is now (for the last 4 months) beating his head (temples) with his fists when he doesn't get what he wants, when he is hurting, when he just disagrees with you, when he doesn't understand. He is also biting his wrist to where it has left a big callus and at one point bled. He has 40 hour-week ABA therapy and the therapists try to prevent this, but it is escalating! Does anyone have any ideas? I can't stand to watch this beautiful little boy hurt himself, leaving bruises all over his face He is under the care of a great DAN doc but we just recently did a ton of tests and are waiting for the results. If anyone has any ideas in the meantime, I would love some input. Thank you, Rhonda (mother of 2 boys with Autism, oldest with chronic seizures for the last 7 years...both typical before vaccinations!)
