Is the smell super fishy and replusive? If so, first you need to get

rid of the oil..it's rancid. If it's just that normal odd oil smell

that clo has...

Have you tried laundering in hot water and baking soda and vinegar. My

son often drips his oil and this seem to work.

If you have a top-loading washing machine I would try a bit of Dawn dish

washing liquid and hot water.

You can also try a baking soda soak before the wash too.

And vinegar in your rinse cycle.

My son takes cod liver oil every day, and I hope someone has a

healthy, home remedy to eliminate fish oil odor from clothes. My

son's clothes (all 100% cotton) have absorbed the odor, and the odor

has now spread to the rest of our just laundered clothes and

closets...yuk.

Jan, The fish oil smells fine and fresh. It is the smell when my son

sweats...the oil gets absorbed in the clothes. And we live in a very

warm climate so he gets warm year round...I will try the baking soda

and vinegar. Thanks!
