Guest guest
--- I would use the activated charcoal. Cut the dose in half and keep going. Stopping midway can cause resistance. Usually an antifungal and an antibacterial are used together because once one if them vacates the other takes up residence.Ask the doc if you should drop the yeast aid out but continue diflucan..did the doc want the child on both? Guest guest
I'm one of those who thinks die-off *symptoms* are bad (for adults, I think a little bit of symptom is OK, but not in kids). It's a sign that the body is not eliminating the dead yeast cells and toxins properly. As the previous poster suggested I would cut the dosage in half or quarter. Activated charcoal would be a good option until the symptoms subside. I'm not familiar with Yeast-Aid, but why the 2 antifungals? Did you start both together? I would just do one at a time. And Yeast-Aid has a lot of natural ingredients that your son could be reacting to (rash on back). Go slowly and one at a time. ;-) On Sun, Dec 21, 2008 at 8:54 AM, sammysouthie <sammysouthie@...>wrote: > --- > I would use the activated charcoal. Cut the dose in half and keep > going. Guest guest
--- I will also add if you suspect any mitochondrial problems[usually caused by mercury poisoning] and a fever is present you need to watch the amonia levels....usually brought down by b-6. For us with the fatty acid issues I have to drop his protien levels during fever or sick days and up his carbs , not yeast friendly, however when I do this he can have a fever, rash ect with no regression. It is a challange to get them to eat during these times but fasting is not something one with fatty acid issues should do.
