HI EVERYONE,

Sorry that I haven't been contributing much lately...I'll tell you more

about that soon, but right now, I need help.

I have been in contact with a reporter from the East Hampton Star who is

doing an article on our plight. She would like to know the identity of

the 17 physicians under investigation by the OPMC.

Does anyone know who they are? She is extremely sympathetic to our cause

and wants to help. Also, if anyone knows of anyone who lives on the East

End of L.I. who has been denied treatment for Lyme disease by their

insurance company, PLEASE have them contact me ASAP.

Thanks,

Joan

Hi Everyone,

Thanks to those of you who responded. I had no intentions of releasing

any info that was meant to be kept quiet, and I didn't. The reporter

wanted to confirm the fact that 17 of our LLMDs are being investigated.

She has already been in contact with Dr.O. and Dr.B., and I told her

that she should any get info from them.

It is nice to have a sympathetic reporter on our side. I'll let you know

when the article is published.

Thanks,

Joan

  • 8 years later...

My daughter had mosquito bites that she scratched and they got

infected a little bit. I went a put antibiotic cream on them and they

developed a big red ring around them. Very symetrical. She has a

reaction to penicilin(augmented) . She is very cranky and crying. I

thnk a fever too. I am off to the doctors but I would rather get some

advice from you guys first.

west nile is mosquito.. but I would personally do epsom salt bathes, motrin, and

oil of oregeno..for bacteria, and olive leaf extract for viral.... see how she

is in the am. How old is she??? Not uncommon at all for infected bites...

I remember reading something about it, where it used to be dear tics, now it's

all ticks, mosquitos, and a few other bugs.

I think I may have read it on the Lyme induced autism website.

I just got back from the doctor. He said she is probably having a

reaction to the antibiotic cream that I put on. Who knows. I also

asked him to suggest a probiotic and he didn' t seem to know. This

stuff has me going in circles. There are so many probiotsc and so

many different strains. HOw do you know what to use? My dd is on

Diflucan too. Man, I feel like I should have been on probiotics

yestereday!

This happened to my sister's guy, nt 11 year old. Just had a very allergic

reaction for some reason, was strange. She ended up taking him into urgent

care and he got on antibiotics. I live in WI and mosquitoes are our state

bird!

I called the doctor again and he said that the lyme bite ... looks

like a bug bite with a halo around it. Hope he is right! Thank

goodness it looks nothing like that.

Called the doctor and he said he is pretty sure its not lyme disease.

He really thinks its a reaction to the topical antibiotic I used. She

has allergic reactions to penicillin to. I just thought that I used

this cream before and i don't remember a reaction like this. he said

wait a day or two
