I work as Vice President with Third Sector Partners, a boutique search firm

which recruits senior management and board members for the social sector.

 

Third Sector Partners has been retained by UNICEF to recruit their Program

Communication Officer – Social Mobilization Network Coordinator for UP.

 

Under the guidance of the Programme Manager (Polio Eradication), Lucknow, the

staff member will be responsible for the strategic development of the field

office’s inputs to the polio eradication programme, specifically the Social

Mobilization Network (SMNet). This will involve providing technical support to

the districts in planning, implementation, training and monitoring of key

interventions for eradication of Polio through the SMNet, programme

communication, inter-departmental coordination (District Administration, ICDS,

PRI, NGOs) and inter agency coordination (Rotary, WHO-NPSP,CORE etc)

 

The key responsibilities of the incumbent would be:

 

Establish and maintain regular contact with sub-division and district officials

and partners at the district level through frequent consultation and field

visits.

Monitor programme implementation, help in solving problems and promote

implementation of the set of interventions for the SMNet and communication

initiatives

Coordinate and liaise with various partners, including Government of UP,

WHO-NPSP, NGOs etc on social mobilization activities Provide inputs to

effective, innovative training methodologies for field workers of the SMNet

(SRCs, SMCs, BMCs) and DUCs.

Coordinate programme evaluation efforts ensuring timely review on course

corrections and of current program strategies

Direct, supervise and coordinate the preparation of all programme reports

required for the donor reports

Facilitate in developing and making effective use of programme monitoring

systems ensuring that information generated leads to decisions to improve

project performance and feedback to the field staff

Frequent travel within the state of UP and occasionally to Delhi.

 

The position is based in Lucknow and reports directly to the Program Manager,

UP.
