While I agree that this is a sad and extremely disheartening story, I

think a lot of people seem to have missed the silver lining here. Mr

Mishra (the education officer) has actually done his job which is an

unusual enough occurence in our country to merit comment.

I would personal wish to thank him for doing what was required swiftly

and demonstrating his personal commitment in no uncertain terms by

picking up the child and holding him. Since I do not how to contact him

I hope someone will be kind enough to convey my appreciation to the

gentleman.

I am certain plenty of other members would agree with me. I request you

to register your appreciation and not just leave it as a thought.
