Oh my goodness!  Could this be why my guys have been beyond hyper the past few

days?  They are 4 1/2 and have been grabbing ornament off of our tree, squeezing

and breaking them ( I was trying to figure this out as this has never been a

problem before)  So, what do I do? Stop the alpha ketoglutaric acid? 

Thankfully, I only ordered one bottle?  What else can I give them?

My daughter was getting quite hyper on AKG so I went to Dr. Yasko's

site. This was her reply: " I am not a strong believer in the use of

glutamine or Alpha KG as it can end up as glutamate in the system.

Alpha KG plus ammonia makes glutamate. Also glutamine can break down

into glutamate plus more ammonia....Glutamat e and glutamic acid are

basically the same molecule, the only difference is the pH and if it is

the acidic form or not. " She suggested yucca with meals and reducing

protein among other things.
