Guest guest
Try a different Kirkman formulation other than NuThera. I honestly don't know why the nuthera does this, but a lot of parents seem to report the same thing. I chose not to use it because it's flavored and I did not like the ingredients they use to do that. But maybe check the amounts of B vites in it versus the other Kirkman formulas..see if there is any difference. > > Why do our kids get super stimmy with super nu thera? Guest guest
As what I read, ussually supernuthera must combine with magnesium. (maybe you can type keyword on supernuthera on this group (in the search box). Now, for my son non verbal, I tried dmg (amino acid) with folic acid and magnesium plus fish oil (efa) from kirkman (except the magnesium is from klaire)(kirkman also selling the magnesium). Thanks. Guest guest
For my son, he can't handle the really super high B's. It makes him yeasty. I have to find a good mutli that has good B's, but not super high B's. I'm still looking for just the right one.

B vitamins tend to increase yeast, so it might be that. Also, for kids with phenol issues, B vitamins tend to increase those symptoms. Guest guest
What about flavorings or sweetners. I think Kirkman uses sucralose or something like that. I remember choosing the Spectrum Hypoallergenic because it did not have the sweetners or flavorings in it. > > > For my son, he can't handle the really super high B's. It makes him > > yeasty. Guest guest
> > the super nu thera B's dont look that high The B6 is high. The other Bs are not nearly as high as the B6. When you count B6, also count the P5P. Dana
Guest guest
When I give the B6 alone (the one I got from the kinesiologist) it makes her focused and wild. When I give the high dose of B6 in the SNT, it doesn't make her nuts. It it because of the balance of all ot the other vitamins in the SNT? I started the SNT today. I will give extra biotin and I will try adding a tap of Taurine in a few days. Somewhere down the road I will try the ACE again, since I saw great things with this stuff, but I am not sure if it also made her mean. I sincerely want to thank you. It is really tough some days, as you know. You must be one smart, organized woman! Guest guest
Hi everyone! I'm thinking to buy Super Nu Thera Power Hypoallergenic for my child [3yrs old weights 38 lbs.]......and I'm a little afraid of it side effects......have anyone tried this new formula already? Should I keep giving my child calcium & magnesium citrate together with SNT Power Hypo? ` > > > > Why do our kids get super stimmy with super nu thera? I have seen it > > as a constant effect. Guest guest
the best thing I can advise anyone here is to purchase the trial sized from Kirkman, it provides enough for you to know how your child will react. I chose to use Spectrum Complete. We have not tried SuperNuThera, since some kids do good on it, and many don't. It's very individual. But Spectrum seemed good for us because it was an all around supplement for a child. Hypoallergenic products from Kirkman are great, they have no flavorings and usually do not have a strong taste, so they are easy to give. I would keep giving the cal/mag. Because the kirkman alone is not that much. My son takes the spectrum complete hypo..but he also takes additional C, D, K, A, E, Zinc, Calcium, Magnesium, Milk Thistle, probiotics, cod liver oil, gse, and sometimes taurine or olive leaf.... Basically, there's always going to be more than one thing to give. The multi is just the foundation. Order the little one, see how he does. That way you spend $4 plus shipping and your not stuck with a large expensive bottle he can't take. He may do fine on it..no way to know. My son really responded to the multi. > > > > > > Why do our kids get super stimmy with super nu thera? I have seen it > > > as a constant effect. One question...When & why do you give probiotics?? thanks again! > > > > > > > > Why do our kids get super stimmy with super nu thera? I have seen it > > > > as a constant effect. Guest guest
MSG? Sorbitol? Sucralose? I called them once and asked what " natural fruit flavor " was, or " fruit punch flavor " and they couldn't tell me. I decided not to buy the product because they couldn't tell me it was for sure NOT MSG. I am not a fan of multivitamins, our kids are sensitive already, why take a chance on supplements with a bunch of different substances in them that they may react to? I don't even take the chance anymore. Furthermore, I don't believe the kids need mega doses over and over and over...how do you know when they've had enough of something? Single supplements is the way to go as far as I'm concerned. > > Why do our kids get super stimmy with super nu thera? I have seen it > as a constant effect. If the SNT still causes problems tho, you can try the B6 together with just USRDA doses of the other Bs, see if that helps. Dana
