Thimersol free flu shots- NOT!

Hi Everyone,

I was at the HEB pharmacy this morning and my pharmacist reminded me

that the flu shots were available. I asked her if she had supply of

thimersol free flu shots, and she looked at me oddly until I asked

if they contained mercury. " All of the mercury has been taken out

of vaccines these days, " was her response. I told her that I would

like to see the package insert if she did not mind, and she

disappeared in the back for a few minutes, and then came back to the

counter with a concerned look. " You are correct, both brands we

carry have thimersol. " One was for adults, one was for children. I

then gave her our story of our son who has been battling toxic metal

overload for 7 years and that I will never again give him another

vaccine even if just the mercury is removed. I was happy to have

educated the pharmacist, but had a similar experience with a

pediatric nurse who insisted that the vaccines were safe only to

read a package insert.

We have a lot more work to do because the public does not have

correct information.
