Dear Friends,

I am writing to invite you and your colleagues to a meeting on Understanding the

Right to Food and some of the issues and campaigns related to the right to food.

As some of you may be aware that a few organizations are working with issues

related to food and rights, many of us have also taken up other advocacy

initiatives as parts of coalitions and campaigns.

The right to food is intricately linked with many other issues like poverty,

situations like floods and/or droughts which also brings up issues of health,

hygiene, children, education through mid day meals and many more issues.

We at AARTH ASTHA believe that these are issues that affect all of us and the

communities that we work with, therefore, we would like to get a better

understanding of the issues related to food and the related rights.

We would like to invite you to the meeting to be held on January 11, at the IIC

Annexe (Lecutre Hall, Basement), Lodi Road. The meeting will be held between

2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

We have Mr. Biraj Patnaik from The Right to Food Campaign and Mr. Colin

Gonsalves from HRLN (Human Rights Law Network) who will be speaking on the Right

to Food, the campaigns and other related issues.

Please do call us at the numbers given below or reply to this email to

confirm your participation.

Thanks and regards,
