Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: nicolijoanna Hi All, We have been chelating using the AC protocol with DMSA only. Now we are ready to add ALA to the therapy. We have been doing 50mg DMSA every 4 hours for our 50pound boy and we are goign to start with 25mg ALA this weekend. Is this a good ration i.e 2:1. I udnerstand even the 50mg DMSA seems high for the AC protocol but anythign less does not pull much metals for us. ===>You don't need to stick to any rigid ratio of Dmsa to Ala, just find the amounts that produce the least side effects. And many find that Ala is a different animal in terms of side effects. I would start much lower with the Ala, maybe 5-10 mgs, you can always move up. Reaction to Dmsa doesn't predict reaction to Ala. Many adults who find they tolerate higher doses of Dmsa, don't tolerate higher doses of Ala. Thanks Joanna
Guest guest
Hi Joanna I agree with in using a low dose especially on our kids as they will often have a great difficulty communicating any discomfort. Guest guest
I third that note, go lower with the ala. It's powerful stuff...took me a long time to tolerate 5 mg as an adult. My son takes 16mg and he is 50 pounds, but he began at 12mg. Try 5 or 10 and see how it goes. > Hi Joanna > > I agree with in using a low dose especially on our kids as they > will often have a great difficulty communicating any discomfort. > > Kenny > > > Hi All, > > > > We have been chelating using the AC protocol with DMSA only. Guest guest
Hi kenny, jan and , Thanks so much for your advice. You are right. We will start with around 10mg and work our way up slowly depending on the reaction. I will try to keep you posted.
