Guest guest
I have a daughter who is EXTREMELY allergic to corn. It gives her an immeadiate bowel symptom. I have now sodium ascorbate, and I would consider using it on my daughter. If there was a corn reaction, we would know. I might add it in while when we work on virus'es again with her. I absolutely love Now's sodium ascorbate. I have a big tub and cap it for the whole family.
Guest guest
Hi ; corn allergy is a rare sensitivity to the protein found in corn and many types of corn products. When people with this type of food allergy ingest corn proteins, it triggers an allergic reaction - as yo have obviously seen/experienced with yor daughter already. There isadiference between corn allergy and corn intolerance. An allergic reaction involves the immune system being activated by proteins associated with corn whihc the immune system no longer has, or never had, tolerance for. Some people who experience symptoms after eating corn are suffering from food intolerance and not a food allergy. Food intolerance involves the inability of the body to digest a substance, leading to symptoms of discomfort (e.g., diarrhea, bloating, stomach cramping) but usually this poses little danger. Generally the symptoms of corn intolerance are milder than those associated with a corn allergy. With a corn allergy, even a very small portion of a food allergen can cause an allergic reaction up to an including anaphylaxis. I am curious as to what the sodium ascorbate does for yor daughter in terms of symptom control, and corn intolerance/allergy? Linus ing PhD (Twice Nobel Laureate) stated " It is highly probable that most people in the world would only receive 1- 2% of the amounts of Ascorbate that would keep them in the best of health " . Bioflavanoids work with pure vitamin c (ascorbate in various forms) to produce more a more complete anti-oxidant ; oxygenation, as it turns out, and blood flow, through the bowel and other organs, is a critical component in the mechanims to autism-sptecrum and its varied multi-organ effects and impairments; the intolerances and autoimmune derailments, in part, stem form this core mechanims of initial injury. This regular use of sodium ascorbate (e.g. one gram twice dail) has been found in clinical studies to have a high degree of success in the resolution of hay fever and asthma for some individuals. However, the mechanims of efficacy is not known and the degree of benefit is individual specific. I welcome learning more of your experiences with sodium ascorbate and corn intolerance/allergy.
