Guest guest
As we proceed in the year 2010 with merry songs playing and partying all over it is with regret I’ll like to bring to the notice of all that Aids Health Care Foundation in Delhi has stopped giving ART Medication (Ist and IInd Line) due to lack of funding. Though Ist line people are being referred to the government ART Centres however about 35 people from our community in the capital of India are at the deaths doorstep. I don’t know what to do next as whenever we do write mails it seems as if mails are sent to officials who are blind or those who can see do not have logic to give reply to such mails. We at least once in life as an Indian pledged that “All Indians are our brothers and sisters†and here when our dear ones face certain death where as we will be making merry during New Year celebrations. INDIAN HEALTH MINISTRY, NACO, DSACS, INP+, WHO, UNAIDS, etc all officials who bag handsome salaries due to funding as are working for PLHA my sincere SHOUT to please listen and help these 35 people continue on 2nd line ART from government ART programme. Please stop discrimination in the PLHA community by bringing the criteria to start the 2nd Line ART. If officially we do not receive an email from anyone ASAP we are ready to die fighting than die regretting. NACO officials who go to international conferences courtesy the PLHA community and brag about NACO achievements my humble request to please consider this matter seriously and with utmost importance. For once I urge government officials / bilateral / international organisations to show URGENCY and feel responsible for the fact that they are in the business of SAVING LIVES.
