Guest guest
We have used Flagyl for an overgrowth of bad bacteria with good results. It made my son feel better. We get it compounded because that is some seriously nasty stuff. It's possible to get rid of yeast without the use of such strong stuff. I'd sooner use GSE and/or some wild OoO and see what that did, both of these medications are very hard on the liver. Guest guest
Sheila- Our son's OAT showed high arabinose and HPHPA and we subsequently treated with diflucan and flagyl. Our first round with flagyl was only 10 days and unfortunately the bacteria returned. After treating with Flagyl for 30 days we have not had a return of this particular bacteria, and he completed this treatment approx 4 months ago. We found it to be very valuable because the bacteria levels in his gut had a huge impact on his level of functioning and behavior. As for reactions, he initially experienced flu-like symptoms when starting the medication. He started diflucan and flagyl together so I do not know if one or both created these symptoms. Guest guest
--Thanks for the info. Our doctor prescribed it for a month to be taken with ktoconozol. I will watch out for the flu like symptoms. My 6 year old is very moody and I am hoping that this will help this behavior.
