Guest guest
My child has lots of anxiety as well. I can't be anywhere else in the house solo; has to be with him (4.5 yo). If I leave just to go to the bathroom in a separate room, he screams in terror when alone. I don't know if your child has exactly this, but there was a lot of other behaviors associated with anxiety as well. We've are on round 7 of chelation with just ALA and have been seeing improvements. The most astonishing improvement was the fact that his anxiety went away the last day of the round! The anxiety came back when the round was finished, but a clearly saw a huge difference, so maybe the metals have some to do with it. Guest guest
Just wanted to add that people have reported that chelation strains the adrenals and where there is adrenal fatigue, the condition can worsen. That's happened to my daughter too. I don't mean to belabour the adrenal topic, but am just adding more data for you to consider. > > That could be true. We saw initial bi gains when starting chelation. > Then a slow but steady and lately big gains again. Seems the anxiety > worsens as gains come bounding in. Phosphatidylcholine also has really > helped in his gains. Wondering if adding in inositol would help. Guest guest
> I agree. I have made a point to not avoid doing what we normally do > I was hoping after a few weeks he would at least put his feet on the ground > outside our home. This child climbs up my body all by himself...he is so > fearful if I try to put him down. Even if I kneel down and hold him in a close hug > he is up on me..be it my back, head..anywhere. If I didnt know better ..I would say > the ground was on fire. This is an exact description of my #2 when he was 2yo and he was attacked by a Rottweiler. He acted exactly as you just described for at least 6 months. Today he is 12 and still is extremely nervous around any animal [including birds, pet rats, and even small spiders] that move quickly. I got a older " speed bump " black laborador so he would learn that not all dogs are evil, and he is s...l...o...w...l...y better with larger animals [horses, cows, pigs, larger dogs] that move slowly. But if ANY animal comes near him that barks or moves fast [Lord forbid a dog that wants to play with him so playfully chases him or jumps up on him], he will scream to wake the dead, and try to climb on me [and he is 12 LOL]. Those early traumatic experiences can be very hard to overcome as they become ingrained and then in an effort to self-protect they avoid creating perpetual fear. This can even occur vicariously, I LOVE dogs but my cousin was attacked by a German Shepherd when we were in front of my house when I was about 8 years old and to this day I am not afraid of any other dog but I am scared to death of German Shepherds, irrational I know but I can't help it. Guest guest
> ===>Hysterical, I'm surprised you walk the dog at all. Yep, we still walk him, altho we are careful about the route we take. He is 10-11 years old now, so even easier to control. Funny now, not so funny then LOL Dana
