We Transgender/Hijra community know very well that either community can

understand the problem of community or only who knows/understand our community.

Last Seven years we are shouting that please do not include us with the MSM but

no one is listening and playing with our identity.

NACO and WBSAPCS are giving strengthening MSM behavior but not at all supporting

our Transgender/Hijra community.

This is also true that whoever is representing our community either Nationally

or Internationally they are also abusing us not supporting the community and

playing dirty politics.

 

In West Bengal some MSM leader when they are in West Bengal they are saying

themselves Kothi and supporting MSM but when they are going out of West Bengal

that time they are saying themselves Transgender.

This is the reason that Transgender/Hijra community is not getting any support

in West Bengal.

MSM Network clearly BOYCOT this Transgender Day (On 30th April, 2010) and not

only that they have given threat to all the staff of MANAS Bangla that if

anybody will attend this programme then they will be marked and later they will

be answerable.

There are many members of ATHB is working in MANAS Bangla . They all scared and

were in tension and depression too. So, they could not come to attend the

programme on 30th April.

Not only this, there were many others community and non-community also wanted to

come in this programme but they did not come. Bandhan was suppose to get a

project for Transgender on April, 2010 where all the formality has been done but

at last did not get this project because of this people who are sitting in the

higher chair and playing a dirty politics with our community and interfering

unnecessarily in the community and West Bengal’s matter.

As you said We were criticized by everybody for holding a pageant for the

Hijra/Transgender people and many of the groups sidelined us too, this is true

because whenever we raise our voice this people says publicly that MADHU CHAKRA

(it is a Bengali word which means one who do sex racket with the high profile

girls at home) this kind of word use by this kind of people who are getting RED

RIBBON AWARD.

I just do not understand that why UN Agencies entertain and support this kind of

ridiculous people who can talk about the family where there is no involvement at

all.

Every person has the right to privacy, which is the right to determine for

themselves when, how and to extent information about them is communicated to

others the right of confidentiality of personal information sexual, gender

expression, sexual orientation, livelihood etc.

This kind of people can say anything, anywhere, anytime. We should be BEWARE

from such kind of people who can bite us anytime, anywhere like MAD DOG.

There are many organizations who are talking about LGBT and saying that they are

working with LGTB but they also did not come in this event.

From here we can understand that there is no unity in our community and CBOs.

But this is also true that there are many individuals and organizations

supported us which we will send you all with the Acknowledgement list later.

UNDP had meeting National Consultation Meeting with the Transgenders and Hijras

which report is still not come to all of us where national definition still not

come which should come.

I have a question that Kothi will come under MSM or Transgender? Who will decide

all this either community or others?

Because MSM are saying that Kothi means MSM but Kothi were earlier says Kothi

themselves but now they are saying themselves Transgender then who is a decision

maker of this definition?

We do not know Kothi will come under Transgender or MSM? We know

Transgender/Hijra and we are talking about them only.

 

A Leaders who is sitting in the higher chair nationally and always plays dirty

politics with the Transgenders and Hijras and he doesn  belong to the TG/Hijra

community also where given me a name Baul-artist in West Bengal, he said he

will do something against me and will do many things which he already started.

I do not know when this old and senior gay man how long wants to play with the

community? When he will be stopping all this nonsense?

Can't we survive with our dignity, recognition and identity? 

MSM, IDU, FSW, AND POSITIVE PEOPLE, etc (High risk group)where they have spoken

and received help and support from funding donor agencies.

Here they have fought and have reached there stand. Now if any problem arises

they can unite and solve the problem with the funds allotted to them .here

it’s understood that to save there identity and there community needs, the

funding has come forward to help them.

Not the help coming forward for the funder n WB where MSM was first funded by

the agencies we are also high risk group people and also vulnerable. So, there

should be intervention of course for Transgender/Hijra which you can understand

because you belong to community.

Introduce law reform to address the needs of transgender person in a manner that

ensures their civic rights to identity and citizenship, amenities, and all

services Introduce laws that grass root organization protect those working in

the field of HIV/AIDS in carrying out their activities with Transgender/Hijra

including the registration of organization, publishing and dissemination of

materials, safe sex paraphernalia and guidance information for

Transgender/Hijra.

We have mostly observed that in our society it iss the TG/Hijra who are mostly

marked abuse and humiliation,face violation and discrimination, for their

identities and activities.

Where Homosexual, Lesbian, Gay, MSM  get lots of flexibility and leverage.
