Guest guest
Hey , Ruby went through this about a month or two ago. She asked for a bath at least twice a day and wanted to play with the water from the taps in the bathroom all the time. I have no idea why. It stopped for some reason just over the past month. I don't know if it was chelation that stopped it or not. I just rode it out. I have no advice sorry! I just wanted to tell you that Ruby went through this too. Now it back to fussing over having to have a bath. > > The last several weeks, we cannot keep our son out of the water. He is > either standing at the kitchen sink or wanting to take a bath. Guest guest
Yes, my son can stand at the sink for hours if I let him. He likes to fill a cup and pour the water out continuously. We have begun to lessen the time at the sink and will hopefully eliminate it soon by replacing with something else. The key is interchanging things so they don't become obsessed but it takes a lot of work. When I am trying to get him to stop playing with the water, I have to draw him away with a food or object he enjoys. The problem is that there is not a lot he an do alone so he needs someone working with him all the time. He's always loved to play with water, but this is seriously over the top. He's not perseverating or obsessed with anything else - just the water. Does anyone have any ideas? Or has anyone gone through the same thing??? Guest guest
, we had the same problem but it really was a phase. I started adding more fun things to his water play like bubbles, water toys, squirts, sponges, etc and soon we turned it to a learning thing.
