Guest guest Posted May 31, 2010 Report Share Posted May 31, 2010 Aid provided for HIV AIDS orphans The Imphal Free Press IMPHAL, May 30: Francois-Xavier Bagnoud India (FXB), Manipur in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association Manipur State branch has distributed education and study materials to 55 orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV and AIDS as part of the ongoing community service program of the Indian Medical Association. A function was held at the office complex of FXB India Suraksha Manipur Branch at Singjamei Chongtham Leikai. Dr. Kh Palin, President; Dr. Ksh Kala, Vice President; Dr.AK Brogen, Honorary Secretary; Dr. S. Gojendra, Joint Secretary IMA; Dr. S. Ranabir, Executive Member; Dr. Kh Sucheta, Executive Member; Rk Ranjit, Secretary The Sustainable Front; Joykumar Wahengbam, Human Rights Activist, Communist leaders and caretakers of these orphans and vulnerable children participated in the program. Khoi Dinesh, program coordinator of FXB India Suraksha Manipur Branch in his key note address opined that the issue of orphans and children infected or affected by HIV and AIDS needs to be brought up to the policy of the state government. FXB International is a pioneering organization which has been relentlessly working for the last two decades to ensure a future for these children by providing a solution to combat the dual crisis of poverty and AIDS.
